Objective

To upgrade Thailand’s Internet Exchange (IX) infrastructure into a regional digital interconnection hub that strengthens ASEAN connectivity, AI economy infrastructure, cloud ecosystem integration, and Thailand’s strategic role in regional digital traffic exchange.

Action

• Expand Thailand’s IX infrastructure capacity, peering capabilities, traffic exchange efficiency, and low-latency regional connectivity to support hyperscalers, AI workloads, cloud ecosystems, and digital trade platforms

• Establish carrier-neutral, resilient, and sovereign IX ecosystems integrating telecom operators, cloud providers, content delivery networks (CDNs), AI infrastructure operators, and regional internet service providers

• Integrate IX infrastructure with subsea cable landing stations, cross-border fiber corridors, national data centers, sovereign cloud ecosystems, and AI compute infrastructure

• Implement advanced cybersecurity, DDoS protection, traffic monitoring, zero-trust governance, and resilient network operations frameworks for critical internet exchange infrastructure

• Position Thailand as an ASEAN regional internet traffic hub supporting digital economy growth, cloud interconnection, AI service delivery, and international digital trade ecosystems
