To establish a national food innovation and R&D collaboration ecosystem connecting universities, research institutions, startups, and industry players to accelerate food technology breakthroughs, commercialization capability, and Thailand’s leadership in the future food economy.

Action

• Develop integrated food innovation networks connecting universities, food manufacturers, biotechnology firms, agri-tech startups, AI research centers, hospitals, logistics providers, and international research institutions

• Establish collaborative R&D platforms supporting food biotechnology, alternative proteins, precision nutrition, sustainable packaging, smart food processing, AI-driven food analytics, climate-resilient food systems, and functional food innovation

• Implement shared research infrastructure including pilot plants, food laboratories, AI compute platforms, testing facilities, open innovation sandboxes, food simulation systems, and commercialization acceleration centers

• Integrate food R&D ecosystems with agricultural data platforms, agro-processing clusters, wellness industries, export systems, intellectual property frameworks, and national food security strategies

• Promote public–private co-investment mechanisms, startup incubation programs, researcher mobility initiatives, international certification pathways, and ASEAN regional food innovation collaboration networks

Expected Output

• Increased food innovation capacity, R&D productivity, and commercialization success across Thailand’s food ecosystem

• Enhanced collaboration between academia, startups, and industrial food sectors

• สร้างแพลตฟอร์มวิจัยและพัฒนาแบบร่วมมือ (Collaborative R&D Platforms) สำหรับโปรตีนทางเลือก โภชนาการแม่นยำสูง (Precision Nutrition) และเทคโนโลยีอาหารอย่างยั่งยืน

• ใช้โครงสร้างพื้นฐานการวิจัยร่วม (Shared Research Infrastructure) เช่น โรงงานต้นแบบ (Pilot Plants) แพลตฟอร์ม AI Compute และพื้นที่ทดสอบนวัตกรรมอาหาร (Food Innovation Sandboxes)

• เชื่อมระบบนิเวศการวิจัยและพัฒนาอาหารเข้ากับคลัสเตอร์อุตสาหกรรมแปรรูปเกษตร อุตสาหกรรมสุขภาวะ และระบบการส่งออก

• ส่งเสริมกลไกการร่วมลงทุน (Co-Investment Mechanisms) การบ่มเพาะสตาร์ทอัพ (Startup Incubation) และเครือข่ายความร่วมมือนวัตกรรมอาหารระดับอาเซียน
