• The Gaps: There is a lack of organized collection and distribution systems, leading to Fuel Supply Uncertainty.

• The Impact: Biomass has yet to realize its full potential as a reliable Base Load power source.

From: Biomass viewed as "Agricultural Waste or a Management Burden." To: Biomass recognized as a "National Strategic Fuel."

This transition requires:

• Local Collection Systems: Integrated gathering at the source.

• Fuel Logistics: A robust distribution network.

• Market Mechanisms: Incentive-based pricing structures.

Advantage

Thailand holds several key advantages in the biomass sector:

• Agrarian Strength: Abundant raw materials from a strong agricultural base.

• Predictable Supply: Clearly defined harvest seasons allow for accurate supply forecasting.

• Distributed Rural Landscape: Ideally suited for Distributed Energy Systems.

Implication

Without a structured Biomass Supply Chain:

• Operational Instability: Biomass power plants will struggle with inconsistent operations.

• Baseload Deficiency: Renewables will lack a stable, non-intermittent anchor.

• Environmental Crisis: PM2.5 issues from open burning will persist.

• Result: The national energy transition remains "Incomplete."

The goal is to establish a National Biomass Supply Chain System consisting of:
